Scope of Position:

The Global Partner Development Manager, Bioproduction position is responsible for leveraging acquired industry and market knowledge and relationships to build and execute on the global commercial priorities of the Bioproduction segment within Corning Life Sciences. The position will work closely with the global sales and key account management organizations and supply chain organization to form relationships with key customers and key suppliers, identify opportunities to grow with each of them, and put in place commercial objectives and contracts from end to end to help the business achieve its goals.

This position will define and manage pricing strategies for key product lines, execute on master supply agreements, and work with our plants and contract manufacturers to define and manage supplier cost management programs. This position will be key inadding value to the customer experiencethrough external communication and strategic alignment between Corning Bioproduction and executive leaders at our key suppliers, partners, and customers. This is a great role for aseasoned sales or business development professional to build their operational skills or make a transition into business management.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • As a member of the Bioproduction leadership team, lead the development and implementation of an end-to-end commercial roadmap for the business.

  • Provide knowledge of customer processes, identify customer expectations for supply and material assurance, and create commercial structures to execute on these goals.

  • Provide insight and expertise on new areas of exploration for Corning Life Sciences, including industry trends, strategic partnerships, M&A, and customer collaborations.

  • Collaborate with sales and supply chain teams to translate customer and supplier needs into action within the Bioproduction segment.

  • Serve as the thought leader and industry SME for partnerships as they grow and integrate into the commercial portfolio.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Apply an executive-level selling framework to support and align with respective growth roadmap.

  • Project confidence in interaction with key external customers and stakeholders.

  • Coaching, mentoring, and talent development for teams.

  • Provide industry and process expertise for strategic areas of interest for Corning Life Sciences.

  • Preparation and communication of high impact commercial and supplier management programs.

Travel Requirements: · Up to 40% travel.

Hours of Work/Work Schedule: Standard business hours; Monday – Friday.

Required Education & Experience: ·

  • MBA or equivalent field of study.

  • 10-year post degree industry related working experience.

  • Commercial experience within the life science or pharmaceutical industries.

  • Experience and passion for managing and developing people.

Required Qualifications:

  • Sales, Supply Chain, or other Customer/Supplier relationship management experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize complex specification and application findings and articulate back to team to implement product change.

  • Strong understanding of the Bio-Production workflow.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in drafting contracts and presentation.

  • Ability to present complex issues and tailor communication to given audience while demonstrating a positive, motivational, and professional appearance.

  • Must have excellent consultative and persuasive negotiation skills.

  • Strong Business Acumen.

  • Must have the ability to develop knowledge of accounts and key customers and to interpret customer's needs and identify solutions.

  • Strong analytical skills needed to analyze territory sales data and technical information.

  • Passion for and commercial expertise in bioproduction or life sciences.

  • Requires the ability to perform independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to assess the impact of complex issues to appropriately bring resolution.

  • Pricing analytics and strategy.

  • Desire to grow into a variety or commercial, operational, and leadership roles within Corning Life Sciences.

  • Ability to be flexible and work as needed on organization’s objectives.
