Job Title:Entry level EngineerDuration:12+ month contract

Location:Tewksbury, MA

-Due to Covid restrictions, this position is a hybrid role and will be 50% onsite and 50% remote. When Covid restrictions are lifted, it will be 100% onsite

Job Description:

Provide necessary support to regulatory affairs department for bench top laboratory equipment. The position is responsible to ensure the required regulatory compliance on the equipment, including UL, ETL and CE marking. You will also work with teams to ensure devices continue to be in compliance with all certifications. Regulatory support may also include new product review, regulatory filings, promotional material review, label review, knowledge of regulations, standards or regulatory guidance, response to regulators for inspection findings or submission questions, regulatory policies and procedures, customer enquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Regulatory Compliance Lead to ensure compliance of commercial laboratory equipment for required testing including; EMC, environmental and product safety requirements.

  • Manage testing and documentation to maintain regulatory compliance of laboratory products. Maintains complete and accurate database of equipment listings, and provides information to management and cross-functional team on product status

  • Liaise with test agencies (Intertek, UL, etc.) and internal teams to support testing, product certifications and filings.

Candidates must:

  • Be proficient in Excel and Word as they will be managing databases

  • Be extremely organized

  • Be able to communicate well with multiple international suppliers

  • Have a technical aptitude (interpret reading/drawings)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication (written & verbal) at all levels of the organization and organization skills required.

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical/problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to analyze, assess, and critically evaluate products and markets, and advise business teams on regulatory compliance.

  • Demonstrable Project management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or life science

  • 0-3 years’ experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of US and EU safety standards and directives

  • Desired experience with ROHS, REACH and other environmental compliance
