Wellness Pet Director of Contract Manufacturing in Tewksbury, Massachusetts

Our Director of Contract Manufacturing manage our global contract manufacturing network at a strategic level. This individual will lead our internal team of high-performing Contract Manufacturing Managers, who ensure that our innovation plans are met and that our contract manufacturers perform to expectations. Based out of our Tewksbury office, the Director of Contract Manufacturing will report to the Vice President of Global Operations and will work with leaders from across the business to ensure smooth execution of our strategic plan as a business. They will: Manage our global contract manufacturer network from a strategic perspective to deliver on company goals around growth, cost management, quality, and supply resiliency Partner cross-functionally with our Operations, Quality and Commercial teams to bring new products to market with contract manufacturers Network strategically to ensure we are bringing full range of vendor capabilities to bear on our innovation plans. Lead cross-functional teams to search for, visit, and qualify new contract manufacturing partners Assess contract manufacturing supply chain for risk ? capacity and quality, and develop redundancy plans where appropriate Implement and manage supplier scorecards and strategic meetings with partners to cover areas of cost, quality, service, and project execution Manage cost savings projects with contract manufacturers to ensure that we are achieving company productivity goals and expanding margins Resolve supplier-related issues around cost and quality Act as an advisor with contract manufacturing partners on technical or manufacturing solutions to ensure adherence with the Company?s manufacturing standards Who We?re Looking For Team Wellie is a group of people who are truly obsessed in all the best ways about winning for the consumer and the pets they love. Other requirements include: A bachelor?s degree in Food Science, Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or similar disciplines. A minimum of ten years of food manufacturing experience that includes process improvement and contract management. Experience working in factory management role is a strong plus Excellent leadership skills with strong business acumen Strong communication skills; able to converse with multiple levels internally and externally Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills Thrives when working in a very fast-paced and dynamic environment Can travel approximately 25% of the time
