Location: Stoughton MA Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic Shift: 1st Hours: 6:00/7:00 AM - 3:00/4:00 PM Pay: \$60,000 - \$70,000 Job Description: Maintain and repair all mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and systems of plant machinery. Perform minor repairs of rotating and reciprocating equipment; assemble, dissemble, remove, install, clean, and lubricate, as needed, shafts, bearings, gears, pulleys and other hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical parts of machines. Repair or replace gauges, valves, regulators and other components of hydraulic, pneumatic and other fluid powered equipment or mechanical systems. Connect or disconnect electrical equipment or components that are incidental to repairs. Some light welding, grinding, and fabricating is also required. Responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and sketches; draw sketches and schematics as needed. Perform work through \"the work order system\". Record work performed and materials used. Operate lift trucks and powered lifts as required. Additional Skills & Qualifications: HS Diploma or equivalent 3-5 years of mechanical experience. Previous management experience is a plus - selected candidate will work with minimal supervision. Ability to read equipment prints; secure information from OEM manuals; apply basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division and read, understand, and apply common operational documents, SOP?s, and training modules. The ability to drive a forklift and completion of OSHA lock out/tag out and confined space entry training may be required. The selected candidate must successfully complete HAZWOPPER training (provided during first week of employment) Must participate in an OSHA/HAZWOPER physical examination. Must have the ability to work occasional overtime and must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen (urine and hair), and background check. The ability to obtain a physician?s certification to wear a respirator is required.
