STOCKBRIDGE HOUSING AUTHORITY Maintenance Assistant in Stockbridge, Massachusetts
The Stockbridge Housing Authority is a public housing authority that offers safe, sanitary and affordable housing for its tenants. All personnel are responsible for adherence to applicable laws and SHA\'s personnel policies. Applications are being accepted for a part-time maintenance position, up to 20 hours per week, to assist us with the responsibilities at our Heaton Court property. Provide a wide variety of maintenance assistance to the Maintenance Chief and/or Executive Director, including but not limited to, General cleaning, light repair work, and painting. Use of a variety of hand tools and equipment including but not limited to rakes, shovels, brooms, mops, vacuums, hammers etc. Landscaping and snow removal duties; experience with these tasks and the safe operation of this type of equipment ideal. Experience with Housing (HQS Inspections / INSPIRE) a plus. Maintain confidentiality of Tenants, Clients, Landlords. Must have a valid driver\'s license and reliable transportation, pass a criminal background check and be able to lift 50 lbs. Additional hours may be available to cover on-call duties and staff time off. Rate of Pay \$20.00 - \$25.00 commensurate with experience. Stipend for On Call Coverage. Rate for experience with inspections negotiable.
