The Sr. Procurement Buyer provides strategic and operational guidance to our Properties and Corporate Departments with goods and services purchasing under the leadership and support of the Global Procurement leadership team. This Sr. Procurement Buyer is accountable for providing our internal and external guests with the items and services they are requesting in a timely manner while ensuring we are reciving these at the best quality and cost. This role will also own the management of tail spend program negotiations for MGM Resorts International and subsidiary companies. The Sr. Procurement Buyer will work closely with leadership to ensure program participation, supplier diversity and inclusion, and monitor supplier performance. All duties are to be performed in accordance with department and MGMRI policies, practices and procedures.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Execute ordering for on‐and‐off program spend and ensure business needs are met with a high level of customer responsiveness to internal and external customers.
Responsible for all tail‐spend items to include but not limited to; supplier negotiations, supplier relationship and performance as well as manage all pricing letters and compliance for tail‐ spend, ensure supplier diversity inclusion and prepare RFQ's and/or RFP's independently.
Demonstrate a proficient understanding of managed programs to maximize the percentage of spend on program, limit the amount of off‐program spend and miscellaneous items and assist with the development and implementation of tail spend and Corporate programs to ensure a successful program roll‐out and increased property compliance.
Responsible for managing item setup and continued maintenance. Collaboration with Content Management to ensure items are avtive/inactivate based on purchasing programs and pricing letters to ensure all procurement systems are up to date.
Collaborate with Sourcing Teams, COE's and Property leadership to determine tail spend programs to ensure Global Procurement savings goals are achieved and conduct market and supplier analysis to identify trends for opportunities to reduce cost.
Manage current purchase orders, review back ordered items and review overdue delivery reports on a regular basis and work with suppliers and end users to resolve. Manage invoice discrepancies with suppliers and Accounts Payable.
Manage supplier relationships through sales representatives and manufacturers, organize business reviews with suppliers when needed and participate in external activities relative to Purchasing.

Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
Three (3) or more years of experience in Purchasing and Sourcing Work varied shifts, to enclude weekends and holidays
Systems experience in Stratton Warren, Coupa and/or Oracle
Strong practical experience and knowledge of Global Procurement operations in hospitality and/or service industry. Working knowledge of financial and Procurement systems preferred.

Ability to motivate the team towards a common goal; comfortable working in an environment where the success of the business is based on a team effort. Strong interpersonal and effective listening skills.
Skilled in creating and delivering executive level presentations.
Able to access all areas of the facility and travel off property and globally representing MGM Resorts International. Professional appearance and demeanor.
