Baystate Health Quality Assurance Coordinator Sterile Processing Department in Springfield, Massachusetts

The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for regular quality activities within the Surgical Services Division. This individual will perform standardized inspections, recording and reporting results. Partnering with leadership members and staff in Surgical Services, the Quality Coordinator will assist in defining critical components to facilitate and support process improvement inclusive of but not limited to: instrumentation, cart completion, on-time supplies, counting practices, briefings, time outs, and transfer of care handovers. This individual will be responsible for the continued focus on quality and ongoing assessment with auditing.

Capable of leading change and challenging the status quo while working diplomatically to keep stakeholders engaged. Understands context of assignments and tasks and is able to be flexible. Competent proven ability to develop and publish quality results and feedback to impacted departments. Experience with excel and other quality and statistical tracking tools a plus. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications. Strong understanding of data as it applies to process improvement.

What you will need:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Quality, Engineering or related area preferred 3 years' experience applying process improvement tools in complex and dynamic environments SPD or CPD experience strongly preferred Certification in LEAN, Supply Chain Management or equivalent industry training and experience a plus
