• Ensuring daily safe work practices, driving Eastman Zero Incident Mindset and Indian Orchard One Team mentality. • Manage, coach, and develop a high performing operation leads to ensure safe and reliable manufacturing operations. • Ensure work practices comply with ISO/IATF standards and customer requirements. • Monitor all aspects of the operation, including but not limited to, equipment, quality, yields, supply inventory as well as coordinate and direct operational staff. • Troubleshoot operational and quality issues, and work with engineers, maintenance, and other operational staff to minimize losses. • Maintain a strong working relationship with Union Leadership and maximizes operational opportunities with regards to the collective bargaining agreement(s). • Partner with supply chain and logistics to ensure smooth operations. • Communicate short-term production plans with maintenance personnel to ensure strong collaboration and teamwork. • Actively participate in site-wide initiatives and projects. • Provide off-hours support as needed and on-call support on a rotating basis. • Serve as back up to Production Team Manager.
• B.S. Degree in Engineering or similar technical degree preferred but not required. • Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing setting required. • Supervisory experience, preferably in a unionized manufacturing environment, preferred. • Demonstrated team leadership and team-building skills. • Strong planning, organization, facilitation, communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a diverse team environment. • Excellent technical skills and effective analytical and troubleshooting/ problem-solving skills. Must possess the ability to make timely and effective decisions. • Strong working knowledge of operational, mechanical, and safety systems. • Strong computer skills; experience operating DeltaV and/or ProVox preferred.
