The Manager of Quality and Compliance Overview:

Responsible for the overall Quality and Compliance of all Baystate Home Health & Hospice programs and services.

As an agent of change, fosters a culture of measurement, integrity, transparency, accountability and operational excellence. Provides operational leadership, designs strategic and tactical plans to implement effective solutions and achieve system and entity goals. It guides the development of practice standards and establishes indicators to monitor and evaluate the quality, safety, utilization, and appropriateness of care/service effectiveness. Manages agency-wide risk management and exposure control efforts to ensure organizational compliance and disaster preparedness. Assures all clinical and regulatory policies are updated and integrated into the organization's daily operations. Integrates technology and performance improvement initiatives into clinical operations to ensure process efficiency. Designs effective electronic documentation systems.

The position directly oversees staff and/or any outsourced vendors in the areas of coding, quality review, education, process improvement, and compliance.

Skills/Competencies:

• Strong leadership and management skills with an ability to connect to various levels within the organization's operations;

• Strategic/tactical planning and ability to guide staff through the process from conceptualization through implementation;

• Organizational change management;

• Ability to integrate technology into clinical practice;

• Thorough knowledge of Home Health and Hospice operations and the industry's landscape, regulation, compliance, safety, and performance improvement; working knowledge of adult learning principles and professional development.

Certification:

Oasis (within 1st 6 months)-Required

LEAN or Equivalent- Preferred

CPHQ- Preferred
