Actalent Electrical Controls Technician in Springfield, Massachusetts

Hiring a 3rd shift electrical controls technician! Candidates must have PLC experience.

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Instrumentation Technician for our manufacturing facility.

The key responsibilities for this position are to support the manufacturing floor and manufacturing processes from an electrical standpoint.

Day to day, the technician will debug and troubleshoot automation control systems, as well as programming of the systems. They will be working with Allen Bradley PLCs & HMIs.

We are seeking a candidate with power 3 phase experience to optimize line controls, to ensure waste water systems are up & running & that controls systems are operating correctly.

There is very little design work since this is a sustainment role, but the ability to create drawings & schematics are a needed skill.

The candidate will be expected to understand calibration procedures for process instruments, which measure temperature, pressure, flow, level & composition.

Qualifications:

5+ years experience to be considered

Programming of PLCs/HMIs (Allen Bradley specifically)

Experience in manufacturing environment

Knowledge of electrical code preferred
