MassMutual Data and Reporting Analyst, Strategic Planning & Delivery-6 in Springfield, Massachusetts
The Opportunity
As a Data and Reporting Analyst you’ll have an opportunity to analyze enterprise-wide data for strategic initiatives across the company and assist developing executive level reports for Strategic Planning and Delivery (SP&D) leadership. You will also be responsible for developing and reporting metrics that provide independent, unbiased perspective on work stream processes and pushing for timely completion of key milestones and KPI’s, all with an eye on driving various strategic projects and financial goals.

The Team
The SP&D Program Operations team is a diverse set of strategic consultants, with experience analyzing business areas and driving data analytics. The team’s collective background includes banking, insurance, media, IT, accounting and corporate finance.
The team is motivated to have a great working relationship with each other and all those in the SP&D organization. The Impact:
Leveraging management data, prepare timely high-quality, clear and succinct materials for weekly business meetings and other program execution needs, including presentations, reports and communications
Understand current state to provide analysis and prepare reports on progress of SP&D efforts in partnership with Finance team for other business leaders
Track and monitor SP&D pipelines through each stage gate, using SP&D’s core tracking and reporting system
Conduct business analysis and advise SP&D leadership per business trends and data analytics on recommendations across corporate, strategic initiatives
Proactively identify and report out on any gaps, lapses, or opportunities that ensure timely resolution
Exposure to projects across all of MassMutual, and where you will quickly learn and stay abreast of all business activities in support of our Enterprise aspirations
The Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
5 + years of work experience of data analytics, statistics, financial modeling and/or complex problem solving
Experience analyzing portfolio management or financial data / statistics
Experience with producing senior level materials using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
Strong collaborator who consistently demonstrates a focus on + ability to work as a team
The Ideal Qualifications
MBA
Data visualization +/or data prep experience with Tableau, Alteryx, or other similar platforms
Agile project management experience including business prioritization, managing back logs using JIRA or Confluence and developing user stories for technical enhancements on SP&D platforms
