Description:

A process engineer optimizes and improves the efficiency of an organization’s manufacturing and industrial processes. They ensure the smooth functioning of production lines, develop new techniques, modify existing designs and coordinate process improvement projects.

The process engineer will be working on the shop floor; supporting any issues and troubleshooting the machines, Manual/CNC lathes, mills, grinding machines.

Hands on experience running manual lathe, mill or grinding machines is very beneficial. Experience with CNC equivalents is also beneficial. Most of the machines on the MRO side are manual. Being that they are a machine shop, the engineers are constantly helping troubleshoot problems related to machining. Additionally when developing new work, having an idea what it takes to make something is an invaluable skill.

The primary responsibilities of process engineers include analyzing existing processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance operational performance. These professionals work closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate workflows, identify bottlenecks and propose innovative solutions to improve productivity and quality. They also implement lean manufacturing principles, conduct process audits and develop standard operating procedures

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

-Collaborate cross functionally with different departments

-Shop floor manufacturing experience

-Able to collaborate with multiple groups and departments

-Tight Tolerance experience

-Engineering degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering
