Coating Technician III (Night Shift) Job Details Description JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Operate chemical mix and dispense equipment, coating / laminating machines and laboratory test equipment per SOP and developmentally associated with new products/processes. Identify and record in-process defects and address immediately either directly or with supervisor. Responsible for initiating non-conformance records in Reliance and physical labeling of affected materials. Actively report process and equipment observations. Make suggestions for improvement to facilities and process engineering as appropriate. Monitor and record process outputs from Wonderware. Perform laboratory testing and record results in MS excel and access data base systems. Utilize SAP for creating records of process outputs. Assist with creating or updating SOP?s, Control Plans, Out of Control Action Plans, FMEA?s, and Change Logs. Certify raw materials from the warehouse verifying lots and expiration dates. Execute special start-up and shutdown protocols. Maintain equipment in clean and working order. Notify supervisor of maintenance or calibration deficiencies. Know and follow all safety requirements including wearing proper PPE at all times. RELATED JOB REQUIREMENTS Ability to lift 40lbs safely Flexibility to work over-time to support urgent work-force needs BACKGROUND Experience in a manufacturing environment involved with similar processes. Candidate must have troubleshooting and debug skills as well as experience with equipment or test equipment maintenance, calibration and process controls. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office. Wonderware experience a bonus. Ability to quickly learn new software (SAP, Reliance, etc.) Ability to work well with others in a team environment is a must. EDUCATION High School Diploma or equivalent. Further education highly valued. At least 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment. SKILLS Ability to interact constructively with peers/supervisor/engineers and communicate ideas and observations in both written and verbal form.
