ROTO 3rd Shift - Roto Cast B South Deerfield, MA, 147 N Main Street, South Deerfield, Massachusetts, United States of America Req #198 This is a 3rd Shift role, the work schedule is: Sunday-Thursday, 10pm-6:15am Eastern Time SUMMARY Perform a variety of repetitive duties to set up and operate a rotational molding machine to produce various sizes of plastic containers and custom products. Perform a variety of secondary operations to roto-molded products as required. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Work from both written and verbal instructions. Understand and follow standard safety and manufacturing procedures as documented. Understand and follow established company and department policies and procedures. Possess or acquire the ability to safely and correctly use a variety of powered and manual hand tools, motorized hoists, gantries and other equipment used in the production process. Possess or acquire the ability to read and understand basic information on blueprints and manufacturing work orders needed to produce product that meets required specifications. Perform or assist in machine operations to set up and service molds, monitor instrument controls, check product quality, and make adjustments as required. Demonstrate and share technical knowledge with others in training. Perform secondary operations on molded product as required. Maintain established Pelican quality standards. Maintain work area(s) and equipment in a safe, clean, and orderly condition. Maintain daily production and other records as required. Acquire the ability to operate a rotational molding machine with minimum supervision. Perform other related duties as required or directed. QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES: One year operating plastic molding machine or similar machinery operation experience preferred. Must be able to understand and follow all established safety procedures and guidelines. Must be able to operate machinery and controls. Actively supports and complies with Pelican\'s objectives, guidelines and commitment to Quality and Safety, with an emphasis on continual improvement. Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Must be able to interact effectively & cooperatively with employees at all levels. Must have the ability to complete assignments within the timeframe specified by the Manager. Willing to demonstrate and share technical knowledge with others in training.
