Your Opportunity

The Marketing Specialist will join the EBSCO FOLIO Request for Proposals (RFP) Team. This person will be responsible for maintaining the FOLIO RFP Team’s repository/knowledgebase of questions and answers. They will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Implementation, and other departments across EBSCO to gather the most up-to-date information on the evolution of FOLIO, OpenRS, Locate and EBSCO Discovery Service and update the RFP repository to always ensure accuracy of the most recent features and functionality.

What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for reviewing and proofing proposals before submission to ensure accuracy and sales messaging. Manage and create a process for the update and maintenance of the teams’ repository of current information for use in FOLIO, OpenRS, Locate and EBSCO Discovery Service RFPs.

  • Attend and take notes at EBSCO FOLIO department meetings to ensure accuracy of feature and functionality updates including participation in monthly Sprint Demos and Bug Fest and in the FOLIO Community.

  • Create a process for educating and sharing updates with other RFP FOLIO Team members and other FOLIO Stakeholders.

  • Write and review technically accurate, customer-focused bid responses.

  • Prepare, organize and complete responses to incoming RFPs, proposals and addenda as assigned.

  • Organize bid responses and maintain bid response files, including ensuring files are finalized for posting to centralized repositories.

  • Analyze and review the outcome of FOLIO, OpenRS, Locate and EBSCO Discovery Service RFPs to provide feedback and trends back to product management on areas of improvement

You will be welcomed as a member of the overall EBSCO RFP Team. Within that team you will work closely with the EBSCO FOLIO RFP Team members answering and supporting proposals for our LSP and SaaS product lines. About You

  • 2+ years’ experience working in a sales or marketing environment or comparable corporate environment with a proven record of successful communications and/or writing experience

  • Understanding library systems from both an administrative and user perspective specifically in the academic market.

  • Skilled at researching and applying information.

  • Must have strong writing and grammar skills.

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Library Sciences, English, Business, Marketing or Communications)

  • Master of Library Science Degree

  • Knowledge and/or experience with library information systems

  • Knowledge and/or experience with EBSCO SaaS solutions

Target Annual Compensation Range: $ 54,600 - $78,000

The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, education, training, and experience, as well as the position’s work location.
