The Finance Group will support JJMD Global Strategic Marketing (GSM) in the development, assessment and profitability analysis of various internal and external new product introductions, including licensing and distribution opportunities for DePuy Synthes. This group is recruiting for a SFA Franchise Finance position that is located in Raynham MA or West Chester PA.

The Finance Group will work very closely with the business in the development and delivery of financial analystics and support of critical business strategies and decision making.

The senior analyst is responsible for preparing financial analysis, valuation models, identifying solutions and opportunities for the business aligned with the business strategy. The senior analyst will be expected to influence business partners with fact based financial data. This individual must demonstrate business acumen through insights and business knowledge.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with the WW VP Research & Development and his/her team to build and track a comprehensive Research &Development plan that is aligned with and achieves organization objectives, ensuring priority programs are appropriately funded, and participate in portfolio prioritization exercises and analysis as part of the cross-functional Portfolio Leadership Team (PLT)

  • Partner with GSM Commercial teams to develop financial valuations models and other relevant analysis in support of new product introductions and external licensing and distribution agreements. Succinctly communicate financial analysis, risks and opportunities to upper management.

  • Perform month end close responsibilities including, preparation of journal entries and accruals, providing commentary on actual versus budgeted results, headcount reporting, etc.

  • Preparation of business plan, forecast udates and latest thinking. Communicating potential risks for meeting expected results and proposing recommendations and solutions.

  • Responsible for quarterly Investor Relations reporting for OUS markets and various other adhoc sales reports and analytics

  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and GAAP requirements

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelors degree is required.

  • A degree in Finance or Accounting is required. An MBA is preferred.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance and Accounting or related business experience within J&J, medical devices, or related industry experience.

  • Self-starter and strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to implement strategies based on competitive dynamics, economic goals, and customer needs.

  • Ability to use detailed financial analyses and high-level pattern recognition to drive performance

  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional environment and build support across a complex set of stakeholders

  • Ability to form strong, trust-based relationships with business partners

  • Drive to understand the full set of JJMD products and offerings, strategies and business objectives

  • Ability to influence and align complex groups of stakeholders towards overall business objectives while understanding and respecting individual business objectives

  • Strong level of ownership and drive for meeting / exceeding expectations

  • Ability to drive rapid, but fact-based decision-making with imperfect data

  • Ability to manage multiple variables / levers, and toggle approach within defined parameters based on customer needs and business objectives

  • Experience with the JJMD financial systems and support tools helpful

  • Experience manipulating and summarizing large sets of data

  • Coaching and providing feedback

  • Strong, fact-based influencing and negoation skills

  • Ability to disaggregate a problem in components and root causes

  • Be hypothesis-driven and drive 80/20 analysis with imperfect data

  • This position will be located in West Chester PA or Raynham MA
