POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual for the role of Senior Financial Analyst Compliance and Special Projects – Abiomed Global Franchise FP&A. The Senior Financial Analyst will provide global compliance oversight and effective risk management through design and implementation of internal controls, leading continuous process and control improvements. The Senior Financial Analyst will partner cross-functionally to address current and future state compliance requirements. In addition, the role will support project-specific initiatives for the global Abiomed team, focused on process and technology improvement and financial compliance. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Global Franchise FP&A.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Advise and consult business process owners on control requirement expectations and related execution to build and maintain a strong internal control environment across Abiomed Management Reporting Companies (“MRC’s”).

  • Participate and deliver on global compliance projects and/or initiatives (e.g. Global Desktop Procedures, local Standard Operating Procedures, Control Optimization, etc.). Partner with the extended Global Compliance Team in driving consistency and standardization of controls and processes as it relates to J&J’s end state model.

  • Partner with various levels of management to standardize and optimize key controls/ processes/documentation.

  • Lead audit support through direct interaction with internal and external auditors to ensure control standards are upheld.

  • Manage annual SOX requirements (SOPs, critical reports, system interface inventory, etc.)

  • Execute quarterly controls that support the Abiomed Global Franchise.

  • Periodically assess control framework through partnership with business and finance to mitigate financial reporting risks and opportunities.

  • Facilitate quarterly compliance deliverables (e.g. BS-75, BSAR analyses).

  • Support new system implementations including the development of required process and finance controls.

  • Explore early adoption of the SigniFi suite of capabilities and/or external offerings that enhance the way we work and drive value to individual, team and enterprise goals.

  • Oversee remediation plans with control owners.

  • Develop and provide ongoing robust compliance training/updates to all levels of Finance and Operations personnel.

  • Support ad-hoc analytics and KPIs.

  • Lead CREDO, Org Health, DE&I, Talent initiatives to foster collaboration, personal & professional growth and serve the communities in which we live and work.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Business, Finance or Accounting

  • CPA, CMA or equivalent professional qualification are preferred.

  • Years of Experience: 3 years of dynamic experience in auditing in one or more of the following fields: (a) financial/operational, (b) external, (c) information systems, and (d) compliance is required.

  • Experience working with US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley, Section 404 is required.

  • Ability to think strategically and connect optimally with upper management is required.

  • Strong planning, prioritization, and multitasking skills are required.

  • Excellent interpersonal, as well as both oral and written communication skills are required.

  • Effectively work with new and changing situations is required.

  • Being an independent worker is required.

  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and influence skills with external partners is required.

  • Competent in using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Planner, Power BI, Power Automate.) is required.

  • This position has a preferred location in Danvers, MA, with consideration given to Raynham, MA. Flexible work arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
