What You Will Be Doing

-Install Tooling and Change parts

-Run and debug packaging machines before customer release

-Perform on-site installation of equipment at customer facilities

-Identify and diagnose problems with limited information remotely and on location

-Use Troubleshooting skills to resolve mechanical, electrical and software issues, reporting operating system bugs, reinstalling software, or replacing hardware and components

-Work in shop to assist production when not traveling to client sites

-Performs location installation, start-up, service and repair operations

-Install Tooling/Change parts then Run and debug packaging machines before customer release

-Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on machinery as required; report back on issues, orders and supply parts needed.

-Interpret CAD drawings.

-Suggest fixes if needed

-Assemble mechanical and electrical components and machinery.

-Run wires on new assembled systems.

-Quality control testing on machinery. Adjustments as required

-Manage inbound/outbound materials and paperwork.

-Inventory management and supplies maintenance (spare parts recommendations)

-On-site installation of equipment at customer

-Review customer manuals and do customer training on machines as well as going over a preventive maintenance schedule.

-Interact and serve as liaison with customers

What You Need for this Position

At least 4 years experience:


-Machine Design

-PLC Experience




-Work with engineering to continuously improve product design for reliability, serviceability and customer satisfaction.

-Participate in product design reviews and steer engineering thinking toward ever improving the customer experience

-Experience working with machinery and a strong technical background is required

-Ability to troubleshoot PLC functions remotely and on location

-Travel throughout New England 25% and 75% time in the shop.
