We have an immediate opening for an Electrical Controls Engineer south of Boston. This person will specialize in designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems in addition to knowing PLC programming with electrical skills.

responsibilities:

  • Develop control system architectures and schematics using CAD based on project requirements

  • Write, test, and debug code for control systems using Allen-Bradley PLC programming language to configure control devices

  • Integrate control systems with existing infrastructure, including PLCs, SCADA, and HMIs

  • Conduct through testing of control systems to ensure functionality, reliability, and safety. Develop test plans, perform simulations, and analyze data to validate system performance

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot control system issues, including hardware malfunctions, software bugs, and communication errors. Implement corrective actions to resolve problems and optimize system performance.

  • Create and maintain documentation related to control system design, implementation, and maintenance activities. Generate reports, technical documents, and user manuals as necessary

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and test technicians to achieve project goals and ensure seamless integration of control systems

  • Manage controls inventory stock and planning

Qualifications:

  • BA in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or related field

  • Proven experience in control system design, programming, and implementation

  • Experience with Allen-Bradley products and design software

  • Hands-on experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial automation
