JOB SUMMARY The Project Financial Analyst will be a part of the Project Financial Operations team. The role will be accountable for accurate and timely client billing, client project revenue recognition, reporting & analysis, project backlog, and budget tracking. The Project Financial Analyst will also support on-going finance and accounting initiatives including the migration of project management into NetSuite, corporate accounting, systems support, and ad hoc projects as assigned by the Project Financial Operations Manager. The Project Financial Analyst will also assist in the execution of contracts including MSA’s, SOWs, written approvals, and change orders in relation to projects. RESPONSIBILITES Financial Project Management Provide analysis and reporting of project financial results including revenues, expenses and profitability including: Own financial project lifecycle Collaborate with Legal and Business Development to review and analyze project contracts & budgets and vendor proposals Set up and maintain projects in NetSuite & supporting project reporting Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure timely start up, delivery, and close out of projects Ensure delivery team meets internal timelines for month-end client project invoicing Prepare and provide oversight for accurate, timely and consistent client invoicing across service lines Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure accuracy of client project financials, time and expenses and invoicing Perform month-end client budget to actual review Perform month-end review of data to ensure budget and actual information is in compliance with contract deliverables Perform month-end review of the A/R Aging report Manage client A/R and associated metrics to established targets Provide client project reporting to the Management Team Identify and address areas for improvement in workflow, process, and systems to increase productivity, efficiencies and to control project margins Act as the NetSuite point of contact for the assigned service line team(s) Corporate Accounting Collaborate and provide support for the corporate accounting team related to project accounting as defined by the monthly close process Corporate Finance Support Provide month-end support of corporate finance company-wide as well as for the assigned Service Line(s) including: Budget and forecast support Month-end project budget to actual variance analysis Company financial and operational KPI reporting Backlog revenue reporting Project dashboard & metric reporting Other corporate finance related projects as assigned Systems NetSuite administrative responsibilities for the assigned Service Line(s) NetSuite project initiatives, maintenance & support Support additional systems initiatives as assigned KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred 3+ years of relevant professional experience Strong Excel experience NetSuite experience is a plus Be able to work effectively in a highly collaborative team environment Be ready to “roll-up” the sleeves and get into the details Be detail oriented, organized and able to meet deadlines Have a high energy and positive approach to day-to-day tasks and challenges Have confidence to present recommendations Have excellent problem solving and analytical skills Be an effective communicator Have strong character and a high level of integrity WORKING CONDITIONS This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and must work 37.5 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Moderate (10-25%) travel is required for this position.
