Solution Architect/Engineer responsible for implementing and productionalizing new technologies with a focus on serverless, automation, and devsecops. Expert in system and security administration on DevSecOps, Cloud, and On-Premise platforms. Experience in design and architecture to make sure the Cloud, and On-Premise platforms are stable, scalable, secure and meet performance standards.

Infrastructure Cloud Engineer

Technical Delivery Experience:

  • Self-learner and networking skills that are required to be successful in this role given the rapid evolution of the new platforms and tools.

  • Experience in design and architecture to make sure the Cloud, and On-Premise platforms are stable, scalable and meets performance standards.

  • Manage performance and monitoring tools to proactively address performance, scalability, and stability issues.

  • Architect, deliver and implement new technology platforms supporting DevSecOps, Cloud, and On-Premise.

  • Expert in system and security administration on DevSecOps, Cloud, and On-Premise platforms.

  • Ability to analyze performance statistics, identify the key performance indicators and security configurations.

  • Experts in using DevSecOps to deliver infrastructure solutions.

  • Experience working in managing project and product management methodologies.

  • Experience in leading a team of advanced system engineers to design, build, test, infrastructure solutions.

  • Experience or a good understanding and willingness to working in DevSecOps and system engineering and automation development.

  • Experience in architecting and productionalizing scalable system engineering platform using cloud infrastructure.

  • Experience with configuration management, continuous integration, continuous deployment and security.

  • Experience with architecting dynamic event driven distributed systems.

  • Good understanding of scaling technologies and solutions.

  • Experience or a good understanding and willingness to include Security at design, development, and testing.

  • Familiarity with container tools and serverless technologies.

  • Understanding of servers, storage, database, and networking technologies.

Experience with DevSecOps and Lean, Agile and iterative delivery frameworks, metrics and methodologies.

  • Design and architect to make sure the Cloud, Digital and On-Premise platforms are stable, scalable and meets performance standards.

  • Manage performance and monitoring tools to proactively address performance, scalability and stability issues.

  • Architect, deliver and implement new technology platforms supporting DevSecOps, Cloud, and On Premise.

  • Expert in storing and processing on Cloud, Digital and On-Premise platform.

  • Ability to analyze key performance indicators and security configuration.

  • Expert in using DevSecOps to deliver infrastructure solutions.

  • Co-ordinates the identification and assessment of new and emerging hardware, software and communication technologies, products, methods, and techniques. Evaluates likely relevance of these for the organization. Provides regular briefings to staff and management.

  • Leads the development of architectures for emerging technologies, complex systems, ensuring consistency with specified requirements.

  • Takes full responsibility for the balance between functional, service quality and systems management requirements within a significant area of the organization.

  • Establishes policy and strategy for the selection of systems architecture components, and co-ordinates design activities, promoting the discipline to ensure consistency.

  • Within a business change program, manages the target design, policies, and standards, working proactively to maintain a stable, viable architecture and ensure consistency of design across projects within the program.

  • Sets direction on emerging technologies with cloud, DevSecOps, On-Premise and leads in the introduction and use of techniques, methodologies, and tools, to match overall business requirements (both current and future), ensuring consistency across all user groups.

  • Experience in establishing effective partnerships across teams and influence senior management, peers, and subordinates in an inclusive style to leverage their abilities and knowledge.

  • Ability to align with leadership guidance and provide recommendation on team sizes, engagement, measurements to maximize collaboration, eliminating handoffs and high paced agile delivery environment.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field (or its equivalent) is required.

Technical Skills Required:

  • 10 years Server/OS/Storage Admin experience

  • Hands on expertise in DevSecOps and Cloud technology and Architecture.

  • Ability to automate processes

  • Expert with Unix, Windows, and/or Vmware System Administration

  • Expert with storage administration and/or backup technologies.

  • Strong scripting skills.

  • Security and Network knowledge

  • Database and Middleware Administration knowledge

  • Certifications in prevalent technologies preferred

  • Experience in monitoring, virtualization, backup, disaster recovery and collaboration technologies.

  • Expert analytical and troubleshooting skills

  • Good experience with distributed systems, large scale non-relational data stores, performance tuning, and multi-terabyte federated data systems.

  • Expertise in using PowerPoint/Confluence and clearly articulating findings / presenting solutions

  • Experience with emerging technologies and the following

  • Cloud Hosting (AWS, Azure, others)

  • DevSecOps tools (Jira, GitHub, CloudBees, others)

  • Cloud Security

  • Unix (Linux, VMware)

  • Serverless Technologies (OpenShift, Pivotal)

  • Expert in Automation and Configuration (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, and other scripting languages)

  • Spectrum Scale

  • Backup solutions (TSM, Avamar, other)

  • Strong understanding of security protocols around authentication and authorization (Kerberos, LDAP, SIM SAM, Active Directory, other)

  • ServiceNow – CMDB/ITSM

  • Monitoring (Nagios, Data Dog, OEM, Redgate, Others)
