Description:

• Advanced design and analysis

• Understanding the product development life cycle

• Generate complete design documentation and perform design reviews

• Ability to apply industry accepted design methods and practices, including design choices/tradeoffs, test data and requirement/specification changes

• Ability to apply Design for Manufacturability and Design for Test

• Ability to create methods and procedures for problem solving and test

• Ability to derive design requirements and provide input to system requirements

• Ability to present design and/or test content and results to customers (internal or external)

• Ability to estimate level of effort and associated costs used in Basis of Estimate (BoE) and project scheduling

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 10+ years experience in relevant electrical engineering

• Prior experience with DoD or with U.S. government customers is preferred

• Knowledge of power conversion, efficiency. and budgeting

• Extensive familiarity with the design and development of autonomous surface and underwater systems would be preferred but not required

• Experience modeling and designing electro-mechanical systems for undersea applications

• Experience with Altium, MATLAB (analysis and MBSE), and DOORS
