The SecDevOps Software Team Lead will collaborate with stakeholders to establish key processes and coordinate status, configuration management, and release of all Unmanned Systems-related software and tools for the software engineering group. This position has supervisory responsibility for SecDevOps software team members.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages the SecDevOps team, processes, and systems

  • Responsible for the building, releasing, and software configuration of the Unmanned Systems Group software.

  • Responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining Software Configuration Management, DevOps, and SecDevOps concepts, processes, and systems.

  • Design, implement and maintain SCM, DevOps infrastructure and processes. Covers areas such as software builds, deployment, containerization, process automation, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) orchestration, environment management, release procedures, and system administration.

  • Provide strategic and architectural guidance to create organization-wide DevOps best practices

  • Applies knowledge of DevOps/SCM tools such as Atlassian Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Fisheye version tools Perforce and Bitbucket (GIT) and Virtualization/Cloud tools VMware, AWS & Virtual Box.

  • Apply expertise to other parts of the business were appropriate. Work with internal groups and Business information systems (BIS) to find solutions to problems and make recommendations.

  • Ensure processes, builds, releases, and infrastructure meet requirements for CMMI, QA, compliance, security, best practices, and business needs.

  • Oversee SecDevOps Engineers, coordinate efforts with other employees across disciplines

  • Work to strengthen team processes, manage distributed teams, and guide the careers of SecDevOps engineers.

  • Keep up to date on SecDevOps trends and best practices.

+ + Unmanned Systems, a business group within Huntington Ingalls Industries’ Technical Solutions division, creates advanced unmanned maritime solutions for defense, marine research and commercial applications. What you will do

Develops and configures systems specifications that address business requirements, processes, and that fit with the company's system architecture standards. Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards. Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system. Establishes and documents system parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software systems compatibility, and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities. Revises existing systems and tests functionality of the system to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, data integrity, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage. May document testing and maintenance of system updates, modifications, and configurations. May act as a liaison with other business functions.

What we are looking for

  • Must have an active secret clearance #LI-MH1

  • 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 10 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience.

Bonus points for

Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
