This position is responsible for the repair, upkeep, documentation and preventive maintenance of the manufacturing equipment, auxiliary equipment, automation and tool room equipment. Perform detailed machine and equipment maintenance and repairs. Coordinate activities with outside repair contractors as required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: - Conducts maintenance and repair activities as assigned - Supports the installation and calibration of new equipment. - Coordinates schedules with outside vendors when needed and communicates them on schedule, purchase orders, quotations, etc. - Supports the preventative maintenance program and documents all activities in the preventive maintenance system. - Maintains inventory of supplies and components required for both critical and non-critical equipment. - Performs safety checks on equipment and identifies potential hazards to the Safety Committee. - Ensure that all manufacturing equipment is kept clean and neat to ensure safety of all employees. - Responds to emergency calls for maintenance assistance when needed. - Supports Facilities Maintenance when needed with building and equipment repairs. - Performs back-up duties for Facilities Maintenance and Janitor when required. - Maintain a clean and safe work environment - Ensure that all equipment safeties are not altered or defeated. - Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Experience/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) - Education: High School Degree preferred - Experience: Knowledge of Manufacturing areas and equipment required including hydraulic and electric injection molding machines, material dryers, thermolators & automation - Working knowledge of reading and understanding machine schematics - Ability to multi-task - Must have good communication skills. - Possess strong computer, mathematical skills. - Ability to define problems, trouble shoot, establish and define plans for effective and efficient repairs. - Ability to interpret a variety of technical information and drawings. - Must have legible writing - Must be able to accurately fill out paperwork as required - Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. - Must have good vision - Must have manual dexterity - Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time - Repetitive motions are required - Must be able to move 1100 lb. gaylords with a pallet jack - Requires frequent bending, squatting, and twisting motions - Must be able to climb stepladders - Must be able to climb up and down stairs - Must be available for overtime as needed - Environment: Noise level is uncontrolled (Ear plugs are provided.) - Perform job duties in accordance withISO13485/9001 standards and requirements, including audits - Travel is required to support company initiatives.
