Berkshire Health Systems IRB Coordinator / Biostatistician in Pittsfield, Massachusetts
The IRB Coordinator responsibilities include coordinating daily activities associated with the processing of research protocols and all facets of protocol review management. The IRB Coordinator also provides assistance to the Institutional Review Board and helps coordinate the daily clinical site activities associated with the conduct of clinical trials. The Biostatistician responsibilities are to provide statistical expertise to the clinical development program for assigned projects to ensure the scientific rigor of all research activities conducted at BMC. The Biostatistician supports all statistical activities in all phases of projects related to research projects conducted by BMC personnel.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
A minimum of 3 years of statistical analysis experience in a clinical trials environment is preferred.
Experience in biostatistics. Must have the expertise required to calculate sample sizes for clinical research projects of various designs as well as to develop and carry out data analyses plans for survey research, cross sectional studies, observational prospective studies, as well as clinical trials.
Education and Training:
Master's degree is preferred, a Bachelor`s degree required.
License, Certification & Registration:
Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment with demonstrated project completion and management skills.
Demonstrated self-starter with ability to autonomously undertake problem solving from problem-identification through resolution, seeking guidance where appropriate.
