Berkshire Health Systems Financial Analyst II in Pittsfield, Massachusetts
DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Financial Analyst will serve as the key finance point of contact for an assigned group of departments across the organization. In partnership with the Finance team, this role will support department leaders in their development of fiscal year budgets, analysis of monthly variances, submission of position requests for staffing, and achievement of productivity goals. Responsibilities will also include coaching and training department leaders on various financial systems and tools related to budget, staffing, and productivity, and the development of action plans to realize operational and financial performance improvements.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
Experience:
Two years of experience working in a finance department in either general accounting or a financial analysis role
Education and Training:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred or Bachelor’s degree in another discipline and 3-5 years of financial analysis experience in healthcare.
License, Certification & Registration:
None.
Other Requirements:
Excellent analytical and communication skills. Must be able to work well independently and meet deadlines. Must feel comfortable with multi-tasking and working under pressure.
Demonstrates proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft tools.
Able to master use of computer system tools including general accounting software, business analytics tools and budget development systems.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team; is able to partner effectively with operations and other members of the finance division; flexible as to work assignments; attention to detail.
