Customer Service Representative- Retail Division Role Summary: The Customer Service Representative will provide support to customers including advising on product, order entry, order tracking and resolution of customer problems. Principal Responsibilities: Answer incoming phone calls promptly Provide a high level of service to our customers by assisting them with any general questions, product questions and coordination, checking available inventory, order tracking, etc. Additional written and verbal correspondence as needed. Efficient and accurate processing of all customer orders during the same day of receipt. Be able to accurately quote lead times, pricing, order information, retail store locations etc. Call customer to resolve any questions. Work within existing processes and procedures to assure the highest possible level of accuracy in order processing. Assist other representative as needed with checking of printed orders. Increase overall sales to individual stores though personal efforts or group efforts by customer service representatives. Complete all return authorizations, send to Customer Service Manager for approval Explore sales leads and assist customers on how to promote our product. Continually maintain and improve product line knowledge Assist in resolving product overlap issues between competing stores. Review new account inquiries with Customer Service Manager to avoid overlap issues Attend and work multiple trade shows throughout the year Assist with training new associates as necessary Maintain a professional demeanor with customers, co-workers, and sales representatives at all times. Work as an active team member within the company and department. Assist as needed. Maintain accurate customer records and files. General office duties, including filing, mailings, etc. Other duties as needed. Education/ Experience/ Skills: 2+ years of previous customer service experience Previous work experience with home textiles preferred Direct work experience in a small call center environment a plus High school diploma required Associates or bachelor's degree preferred Organized individual who is able to manage multiple projects at once Friendly, professional personality Ability to sit 6-8 hours a day Ability to lift up to 20 pounds Fluency in written and spoken English Windows 2000 or XP Microsoft Office skills, with an emphasis on Word and Excel Excellent verbal skills Ability to manage multiple tasks during a typical day Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to train and mentor other employees The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
