Barrington Stage Company, an award-winning professional theatre company located in the heart of the Berkshires (MA), is seeking an Assistant Production Manager with strong communication and organizational skills, general knowledge of theatre and theatre production, knowledge of payroll and accounting systems, working knowledge of Google Suites and MS Office, understanding of AEA and USA work rules, and good time management skills to join our Production and Operations team in Pittsfield, MA. This position is full-time, exempt, year-round with benefits and starts immediately. Responsibilities: - Work with the Director of Production and Operations and the Associate Production Manager to provide support for all production departments. - Help maintain open lines of communication between Production Management and all production departments - Help shop heads interview and hire shop staffs as necessary - Help onboard new hires - Maintain Production Department Accounting including tracking production expenses and credits and working with shop heads to maintain accurate expense ledgers - Provide Director of Production with timely and up to date reports tracking all production expenses - Collect time sheets and submit payroll to Director of Production each week for approval - Work with Director of Accounting to issue petty cash checks, designer fee checks, and designer expense reimbursement checks in a timely manner. - Help organize weekly production meetings, send calendar invites and Video Meeting links as necessary - Provide safety materials and training, purchase first aid supplies, and help maintain a safe and healthy work environment - Help create and distribute contact sheets and tech schedules - Draft and email contracts once approved by the Director of Production - Order/purchase office supplies; print and make copies of scripts, drawings, etc. - Attend Production Meetings, take and distribute notes to director, designers, shop heads, and additional staff as needed - Attend Technical Rehearsals as needed - Other Duties as assigned Skills: - General knowledge of theatre and theatre production. - Ability to respond to changing circumstances quickly and with a positive attitude - Analytical thinking and problem solving - Able to work from ladders, personnel lifts, and other heights. - Motivated, self-starter able to work both independently and collaboratively - Driver\'s License required; personal vehicle recommended. This position reports to the Director of Production and Operations and requires working nights and weekends when the theatre is in production. Salary is \$40,000 - \$44,000 commensurate with experience plus relocation assistance offered to out-of-town candidates as well as competitive benefit package including paid vacation, health, dental. vision and life insurance offered
