McArdle Gannon Associates Engineering Technician in Pembroke, Massachusetts

ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN Looking for individual(s) who can perform field testing of soils, concrete and asphalt to determine compliance with project specifications. Qualified applicants will be expected to: Perform field tests using specialized equipment designed to collect data from the various construction materials, i.e.; nuclear density gauge, concrete air meter and coring equipment, Demonstrate the knowledge and ability to properly perform and record the results of freshly mixed concrete, Read and interpreting project drawings and specifications, and Write daily field reports documenting testing results and work performed Requirements: Concrete Field Technician: ACI-1 and OSHA 10 Certifications (preferred), High School Diploma, Technical, Associate\'s, or Bachelor\'s Degree pertaining to the Engineering field (Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, etc.) a plus, Working knowledge of the principles and terminology in the Construction Inspection Industry, Prior work experience in the construction Inspection Industry (with references) a plus, Must be able to lift 50-75lbs, Excellent communication skills, Must be a team player, work well with others and have good organizational skills. This is a full-time position entailing working in the outside environment at job sites primarily in Massachusetts and throughout New England. Working hours may vary but are generally Monday through Friday with potential weekend hours. Qualified applicants must have a valid drivers license and will be expected to have a reliable vehicle for travel to and from job sites.
