Scope of Position

To handle the incoming and outgoing freight that passes over our dock.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

On-handing Cargo

  • ETMS knowledge/running the on-handing script

  • Enter on-hand data correctly and timely into the system.

     

Cargo Handling

  • Offload and load trucks with provided lift equipment per company policies and procedures

  • Warehouse automation script is used to identify cargo location and corresponding cargo

  • Lift equipment is used safely to assemble cargo into receiving positions and operator damage is mitigated

  • Consolidate parcel shipments as required

     

Prepare ULD’s

  • Untie Nets

  • Cut Plastic

  • Load cargo safely with provided lift equipment

  • Tie netting

     

     

Labeling and shipping of air freight

  • Monitor the processing of HAWBs and collect sheets as they accumulate

  • Ensure EI destination labels match shipping label to prevent misroutes

  • Use automation script to ensure shipping accuracy

  • Warehouse cargo manifests checked, paperwork signed, and trailers sealed

     

MISC

  • Warehouse housekeeping (trash removal, work stations neat and orderly, floors swept)

     

     

     

  • High School degree or equivalent

  • Fork lift certification required within 6 months of employment

  • Have a driver’s license

  • Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
