This position manages the execution of Quality Compliance objectives. May lead a team of entry to intermediate level Quality Compliance professionals or a team of supervisors of Quality Compliance Technical / Business Support employees. Sets day-to-day objectives for the achievement of immediate Quality Compliance goals and supervises completion.
Supervises procedures and metrics that support compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
Drives implementation of minimum standards and utilization of tools and methods to ensure effectiveness of existing quality processes and sustain quality performance improvements.
Provides oversight for quality compliance audit processes to ensure smooth execution at all stages.
Explains policies, government regulations, and agency guidelines to ensure compliance with external standards.
Reviews procedures and metrics that impact quality to ensure compliance with internal standards.
Performs product and process audits and quality audits and reviews.
Reviews quality data and determines if all products and processes are aligned with regulatory standards.
Recommends corrective actions and process re-engineering.
Prepares and maintains Quality documentation.
Experience supervising teams
Experience with a Quality Management System, i.e. Lean, ACE, Six Sigma, etc.
Able to travel up to 10%
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge and/or experience with FAA regulations
- This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is required.
This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40
