Saint-Gobain WCM Process Improvement Manager in NORWOOD, Massachusetts
Manage to company’s Principles of Conduct and Action expectations while working to support all plant pillar initiatives. Manage all improvement activities working to improve overall plant operations, reduce material usage, reduce process variation and losses, improve employee competency, and work to reduce all forms of waste using WCM, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies. Energize others through teamwork and collaboration, challenge the status quo, and seek out new and innovative solutions to reduce and eliminate waste while improving operational metrics.
Manage and direct the Process Engineer, Reliability Engineer, and EOM position.
Design and implement corrective action plans to eliminate wasteful or ineffective practices and processes.
Create and implement training and staff development programs associated with Lean, Six Sigma, and process control.
Identify and implement new innovative technologies and processes.
Use Black Belt skills to develop and mentor future project leaders.
Oversee all process improvement initiatives, including developing, implementing, and maintaining monthly work improvement goals.
Directs and facilitates the ongoing lean improvement process through the use of techniques such as Kaizen, 5s, TPM, Kanban, Policy Deployment, etc.
Document, track and monitor current project performance using metrics and key performance indicators.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven solutions to improve business operations and close gaps from standard.
Manage the “Cost Deployment-Loss Identification” process for the entire Norwood facility and create/support teams that will work on improvement opportunities identified.
Analyze loss data and utilize the data to identify the top-focused improvement opportunities.
Utilize data to identify and then develop solutions to cost savings initiatives throughout the plant.
Manage and oversee plant cost savings WCM tracker.
Provide problem-solving leadership by creating and implementing a systematic root cause analysis process with the ability to solve more complex problems using 6-sigma methods.
Ability to carry out advanced data collection and analysis from MES system to develop new and improved process opportunities.
Utilize system to identify raw material losses then develop solutions to improve.
Manage capital CAPEX projects that fall within the area of responsibility.
Reviewing statistical data on performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
Lead all plant strategic pillar objectives/initiatives as required.
Lead all process improvement changes, implementation of SMART technology and equipment changes using MOC (Management of Change).
Establish metrics to monitor financial savings as compared to established goals and targets.
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or Business Management.
Five (5) or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Minimum Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, Black Belt preferred.
Any appropriate combination of academic and “lean manufacturing” work experience.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to learn and apply new concepts
Strong change management skills to include implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles in the workplace.
Passion for problem-solving, logical thinking & keen listening from the input of others.
Ability to assimilate information to form a bigger picture for future plant growth.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees at all levels of the organization.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to effectively use Microsoft Office including Excel/Word/PowerPoint, along with current corporate business software – SAP, MES, Minitab etc.
