We are looking for a Quality Control Supervisor for one of our clients in Norwood, MA
Our client is a machining manufacturer in Norwood, MA
Title: Quality Control Supervisor
Location : Norwood, MA
Hours : Mon-Fri 7AM-430PM
Pay: $50-65K/YR - based on experience
Duration: Permanent Placement with Benefits

Job Duties:
Works closely with the direction the Corporate Quality Manager to ensure process and product conformity to meet customer requirements while adhering to established QMS
Supervise all Quality Control Technicians in the inspection and quality control procedures
Training and mentoring of all Production employees for WHMA and J-Std Harness Manufacturing and soldering quality standards
Assessment and oversight to support Customer RMA process, root cause investigations and corrective actions related to RMA
Assist with calibration and preventive maintenance programs
Maintain documented quality records (i.e., inspection records, first article inspection, nonconforming material records) on company database system
Participate in company sponsored training and process improvement activities, including but not limited to, AS9100 and 13485 formal auditor training
Inspect Incoming Materials received from vendors for approval, rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
Inspect First Article items; communicating required adjustments to production department supervisors before final approval
Inspect Finished Products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work
Document inspection results by completing written reports and logs and by entering information into computer system database and software
Maintain a clean, efficient work area and assist in keeping the area neat and organized
Perform different/various manufacturing related tasks as may be assigned
Requirements:
IPC/WHMA-A-620 WHMA (Wire Harness Manufacturer’s Association) quality criteria experience or certification preferred or ability to obtain certification within a short timeframe
Ability to learn & perform multiple tasks with excellent organization and prioritization, in a fast-paced team environment
Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, blueprints, diagrams, customer specifications, inspection instructions and checklists, and test procedure.
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 Quality System
3-5 years’ experience in a Quality Inspector role
Prior Supervisory experience in a quality control position desired
Strong organizational and communication skills
High degree of attention to detail
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Strong analytic abilities; critical thinking skills
Sit/Stand one area for several hours at a time
Lift up to 25 lbs on regular basis, 50 lbs on occasion
Basic Math Skills: Addition, Subtraction, Counting, Measuring
Use precision measuring instruments and test equipment
