SUMMARY:
TheOperations Engineerwill coordinate with various engineering teams to develop operational and maintenance plans and procedures. Responsible to oversee the manufacturing process and implement programs to improve material yield, machine efficiencies, and cost savings. May also assist with SOP development and raw material trials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop operational plans and procedures for systems coordination with engineering teams, ensuring operations compatibility between systems.
Collection and analysis of manufacturing and quality data.
Coordinate activities related to the continuous improvement of all operations aspects.
Write, edit, implement SOPs, work instructions, and other associated documentation materials and forms.
Make recommendations to operations team for production scheduling needs, clarifying priorities.
Assist with customer complaints, corrective and preventive measures, and RMA’s.
Review, approve, implement, and verify engineering change order effectiveness.
Maintain quality and control documentation,
Recommend to purchasing, revising material requirements, and planning due to process changes.
Assists with data maintenance within ERP system and work to maximize ERP usage to meet growing needs.
Provide operational support to Production and Quality Control.
Assist the Engineering Team with the development of Standard Operating Procedures.
Aid in training operations staff.
Ensure operations processes are followed, maximizing throughput of high-quality material throughout the production area.
Experience in Circuit Card Assembly, surface mount and thru-hole technologies, assembly methods and processes.
Debug, diagnose and repair complex electronic components, subassemblies, and systems.
REQUIREMENTS:
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required due to government military contracts.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
3+ years previous experience in engineering test, integration, or industrial operations.
Experience working on the operations of data acquisition, simulation, and embedded control applications.
General knowledge of mechanical electrical, and computer systems.
Strong interpersonal and technical communication skills.
Ability to understand technical documentation including mechanical and electrical drawings, testing requirements, and specifications.
Understand principles of operation of ADC/DAC and digital processor circuitry. Experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic assemblies.
Understanding of or certification in J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 Certification.
Understanding of and ability to inspect Printed Wiring Boards (PWBs).
Works well in a small company environment and is self-motivated.
