The Financial Analyst role in Siemens Healthcare Point-of-Care (POC) will support the effectiveness of planning, analysis and reporting activities within the business area. As part of a team, and through best in class, data-driven analytics, this role will partner and/or lead cross-functional teams for strategic and tactical decision making; will be a lead role in generating financial insights in the monthly/quarter global results, with focus on R&D spend and resource allocations. This role will have responsibility for coordinating the BU’s monthly, quarterly and annual financial cadence (forecasting, actual reporting and analysis, budgeting, strategic planning) for the POC R&D function and will provide key presentations on financial status at various management team meetings.

This is a rolewell suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in theircareer. As a Financial Analyst 3, you will be responsible for :

  • Supportinganalysis of financial results to determine accuracy and completeness ofinformation.

  • Supportingvarious financial reports and reviews with management on financial plans andbudgets. Specific tasks include financial analysis atcomplex levels including budgeting, forecasting, CAPEX spend on project and costcenter level

  • Guidingand maintaining conformance to IFRS requirements , andcoordinate with auditors

  • Supportingthe monthly forecast process to deliver on targets using data-driven decision-makingprocess, align organization and collaborate with stakeholders on a monthlybasis to implement targeted performance improvement.

  • Acting aspartner for POC R&D to establish and drive attainment of R&D, cash flowand productivity targets, help to create a 5-year strategic plan.

  • Understanding and applyingthe concept of intangible capitalization of development projects and its impacton the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash flow Statement.

  • Conducting Quarterly ASTARreporting and compliance certification.

  • Supporting QuarterlyR&D tax surveys and compliance.

  • Maintainingfunctional independence and provide a controlling function with proactivecommunication and analysis to the BU

  • Approximately5% travel required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience, Capabilities andCompetencies:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree inAccounting, Finance, or Business

  • Experience: 5 years of progressiveanalytical and controlling experience, with demonstrated career progression ina similar environment. Competencies :

  • Displays goodbusiness acumen and understanding of complex organizational structures,reporting structures & process and the budget and forecast process.

  • Ability todistill business processes and results into actionable information for senior leadership,strong presentation skills.

  • Strongsystems skills in SAP, expert Excel and PowerPoint capabilities.

  • Ability toanalyze as well as organize and quality orientation is a main requirement forthe controlling area. Arranging and balancing activities to comply with varioustasks and due dates is also key requirement.

  • Knowledgeand experience in project management. Strong attention to detail and stronganalytical ability required.

  • Goodcommunication and networking skills result and quality orientation as well as apro-active attitude.

  • Excellentteam player: ability to work with horizontal teams and partner with cross-functionalteam.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills,Experience;

  • Master’s Degree, MBA, CPA orequivalent

  • Preference towards candidatesthat have worked in an international business setting and have experiences workingand communicating with multiple cultures

  • Experiencewith data analytics tools (Alteryx, Qlik, Tableau, etc.)

Position reports directly to Head of Finance PLM and is based in Norwood, MA USA
