Clean Harbors is looking for a Vice President of Strategic Initiatives to join our safety conscious team! The VP will be responsible for working with the company's senior management and executive leadership to define, launch and drive strategic and operational projects.

  • Responsible for planning, coordinating, and reporting the status of strategic and operational projects from initiation to implementation, including managing project costs, resources, and scope.; Lead cross-functional teams.

  • Work with the company's senior management and executive leadership to define, launch, and drive strategic and operational projects related to cost improvement, revenue enhancement, or process improvement.

  • Overseeing the development of growth strategies in assigned market verticals. Must be able to analyze ongoing business for gaps, deficiencies, and opportunities to improve revenue. Review competitive trends, markets trends, quoting trends vs the market, contractual review, etc.

  • Responsible for Proforma development and competitive analysis, estimates budgeting, cost or value analysis, decision making, asset and project planning, project cost and schedule control process. Proforma cost estimates are determined utilizing experience, calculating, and forecasting the future costs of resources, methods, and management within a scheduled time frame.

  • Conduct regular customer reviews for account development and activity with direct reports. Maintain daily awareness of field, sales, vendor, and plants activities and results.

  • Promote communication and coordination between sales and operations. Customer service and customers. Assure that the customer’s needs are met.

  • As a senior member of the Line of Business management team, perform complex and sensitive assignments from the SVP Sales/Line of Business and/or the EVP, Business Line Management.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related required. Alternative combinations of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

  • 10-15 years of relevant experience.

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship building.

  • Detail oriented and able to hold constructive meetings.

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Self-starter and results oriented.

  • Research skills, analytical and creative problem-solving skills.

  • Commitment to quality, responsibility, and high work standards.

  • Computer competence and the ability to use media effectively.

  • Ability to travel 25%.
