Duties & Responsibilities:
The TDE Team at Teradyne's at http://www.teradyne.com/ North Reading, MA headquarters is responsible for developing the test strategy, test equipment, test software, self-test software and procedures for new product introductions. We are currently seeking a Test Development Engineering Intern/Co-op who will serve as a technical contributor in a test development group.
The Test Development Engineering Intern/Co-op will be responsible for the following:
Develop and/or improve test processes for Analog, Digital, and/or Optical test equipment including: the test strategy, interface design, ATE, test software, fixturing, software tools, documentation, and process control capabilities.
Integrate new processes into production. Serve as a technical resource for factory operations.
Investigate and develop more efficient test processes utilizing metrics to indicate results. Go beyond individual defect investigation & characterization to understanding defect trends in order to influence testing directions.
Test Development plays a key role in the product development processes. The variety of activities in these processes involves a diversity of skills that you won't find in many other entry-level opportunities. The desire to work in teams and address groups with your public speaking skills will be encouraged and fostered.

Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required:
The ideal candidate will:
Be working toward a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Have knowledge of C / C++/ C#, Lab View / Lab Windows CVI / Agilent VEE / .NET framework
Proficient with MS office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Have effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Due to ITAR compliance, this position requires candidates to be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents.
