As a Buyer/Merchandiser, you will coordinate multiple activities with Associate Buyers, Buyers, and Assistants to maintain contractual and/or company goals for all major accounts service levels and inventory levels. The Buyer/Merchandiser works with the customers, vendors, Ops Planning, warehousing, Customer Integrators, Account Team, and Demand Planning to solve potential issues and is responsible for proactive communication with the Manager. The Buyer-Merchandiser is responsible for managing department agreed upon service levels by customer while adhering to budgeted inventory levels. Engage with customers on service level and partner with vendors to successfully manage all aspects of product flow. Build sales and source best product as best cost for C&S and its Retailers. Job Description Full Time, Hybrid Role - post training Location: North Hatfield, MA You will contribute by: Procuring product from branded and non-branded vendors. Achieving targeted customer service level rates by monitoring, identifying, reacting to, communicating, and solving potential issues. Negotiating with vendors and customers to maximize product flow, manage inventory levels and coordinate action against close coded, expired and other unproductive inventory. Accomplishing budgeted inventory levels, utilizing system tools to analyze and react to trends. Work with team-members to achieve established goals. Taking lead on additional responsibilities for the team and/or department, i.e. priority list creation, centralized vendor point of contact, inventory projects/initiatives, manage customer-specific processes, etc. Interacting with customers to communicate successes and resolve issues. Partnering with the merchandising group on new items, maintenance, and achievement of gross profit goals.
