Job Description
Job Summary:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
· Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, collaborating with management, sales, production, or engineering
· Identifies critical part shortages collaborating with Procurement and Product Line Management to seek resolution and insure appropriate internal personal are notified in the event of customer shipment delays
· Work with procurement and production to ensure material is available to end users in time to meet customer commitments
· Develop a production schedule with multiple levels and over varying time horizons through close collaboration with product line managers and procurement team
· Review historical sales trends and provide data to PLM’s to facilitate improved decision making
· Develop standard delivery times for key products to allow for faster turn around
· Recommend forecast adjustments based on statistical data review
· Provide lead time and delivery information to sales on non-standard product, using knowledge of all material and resources
· Working with engineering on phasing in and out of various products with the use of the system
· Reviewing ECO’s to ensure proper revisions to products are being produced
· Approving new customer orders to ensure they don’t violate material lead time and will meet on time delivery
· Participate in monthly SIOP meetings
· Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a “US Person” (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees)
Education and Experience :
· Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in a related field and/or 2-5 years of directly related experience in a manufacturing environment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Thorough understanding of bills of material
· Knowledge of MRP and working with various ERP systems
· Experience or knowledge of capacity planning & scheduling
· Proficient in Excel; experience with all MSOffice products
· Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
· Experience with IFS preferred

· Demonstrated success in planning in a dynamic, ever changing, high mix, low volume environment
· Familiarity with inventory control and transactions
· Ability to handle multiple competing priorities
· Ability to rapidly response to requests for information
· Communicate clearly to all levels within the organization (verbal and written)

· In accordance with Teledyne Marine Systems safety policies
· The use of Safety Glasses is required throughout all production areas of the facility
