WATTS Senior Manager, Continuous Improvement (Commercial Operations) in North Andover, Massachusetts

The Senior Manager, Continuous Improvement - Commercial Operations will provide guidance, support, and expertise, in such activities as process, data collection, process metric definition and analysis, root cause analysis, commercial process modeling, gathering business requirements, process monitoring, process documentation, and process reporting. Manage the schedule and deliverables of associated commercial operations projects and initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Facilitate process improvement workshops with subject matter experts

  • Partner with leadership in identifying, verifying, and implementing process improvement and process reengineering opportunities

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support for commercial operations process activities and methods, and help coordinate team activities, deliverables, issue resolution, and resource planning efforts

  • Create Commercial Operations process related deliverables in support of Process Improvement/Reengineering efforts, including Commercial Process Models, Customer/Business Requirements, Metrics, and project plans

  • Work with process owners to create and improve organization’s metrics and goals

  • Independently Drive All Facets Of Assigned Project Development, Implementation & Execution Consistent With Corporate Goal(s)

  • Effectively Work, Cross-Functionally In A “Team Oriented” Environment, To Gain Universal “Buy-In” And Drive Timely Results

  • Utilize “Lean” Techniques Throughout, In Order To Insure Optimal Project Transition(s) And Minimize/Eliminate Future Process Waste

  • Drive Significant Process Improvement & Optimization Cost Savings across the Business

  • Work on both pre-determined and/or self-initiated projects tied to Corporate Mission & Strategic Goals - Assess current state, initiate and execute projects to achieve future desired state objectives

  • Network and leverage, cross-functionally, across corporation

  • Create / manage complex & detailed project plans

    EDUCATION:

  • Master's Degree required

  • MBA preferred

    MANAGEMENT:

  • One Direct Report

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of related work experience with proven results

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in business process, analytical design, etc. related to process improvement projects

  • Completion of at least 5 process improvement projects with significant benefits

  • Six Sigma Black Belt certified required

  • Thorough experience using a project improvement methodology and associated deliverables

  • Demonstrated proficiency with statistics and statistical analysis for decision making

  • Experienced in identifying and analyzing problems / issues and making recommendations and implementing solutions

  • Proficient understanding of process design and ability to map processes, activities, decisions and integration with other processes

  • Experienced in the development and management of meaningful business metrics

  • Must have above average understanding of “Lean” tools and philosophies

  • Strong understanding of Commercial Operations and customer facing processes

  • Proven ability to work constructively across functions

  • Customer focused mindset

  • “Project Management” experience, preferably in an environment of high volume and diverse product lines

  • Formal “Project Management” certification desired (i.e. PMP)
