Adecco US, Inc. Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II in Newton, Massachusetts

Adecco is working with a medical device company that is a leader in robotic assisted vascular surgeries. This full time hybrid role is located in Newton, MA. The Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will be part of the Operations organization, responsible for the successful transition, integration, and support of the next generation robotic platform that will change the future of healthcare. You will be a highly visible technical resource having diverse responsibilities and influence throughout the new product introduction lifecycle. You will leverage technical leadership abilities, negotiation skills, and industry expertise to influence complex robotic medical device designs to implement efficient, value-add manufacturing tools, test equipment and workflows.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Represent manufacturing requirements during the product development cycle incl. DFM, PFMEA, DMR creation & process validation of electro-mechanical assemblies.

  • Create full DMR structure (BOMs/Routings/Labels/Work Instructions) within SAP and validation master plans.

  • Set up assembly line for complex electro-mechanical sub-systems and final assembly of endovascular surgical robot.

  • Develop protocols and perform IQ, OQ, PQs.

  • Lead prototype and pilot production assembly of new products for next generation robotics in coordination with the R&D, and Quality Control functions.

  • Provide operator training and technical leadership to operations resolving test, process, product, and quality-related issues.

  • Drive production digitalization by implementing a manufacturing excellence system.

  • Evaluate prototypes to champion DFMA improvements and assembly fixture design.


  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or similar) required, Master's preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Sustaining, Product Engineering or similar manufacturing design role.

  • Medical device industry experience required.

  • Deep understanding of DFM, DFA, and DFT required.

  • Outstanding analytical, organization, communication, and presentation skills, you will convey complex information in clear, concise, and easily understood language.

  • Proficiency using statistical analysis tools such as: DOE, SPC, Capability Analysis, and reliability analysis required.

  • Experience in the design and manufacture of robotic systems highly desired

  • Six Sigma, Black Belt Certification is a strong plus.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft suite of office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) required.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% required.

Pay Details: $145,000.00 per year
