Job Title: Manufacturing/Industrial Electrical Technician Job Summary: As a Manufacturing/Industrial Electrical Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of electrical systems within our manufacturing facility. This position involves the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment, machinery, and control systems. Responsibilities: Electrical Systems Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions in machinery, equipment, and control systems. Installation and Upgrades: Install and commission new electrical systems, machinery, and control panels. Participate in upgrades and modifications to existing electrical systems to enhance efficiency and productivity. Control Systems: Program, troubleshoot, and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other control systems. Collaborate with engineering teams to implement changes or improvements in control systems. Safety Compliance: Adhere to electrical safety standards and protocols. Participate in safety training programs and contribute to the development of safety procedures. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and upgrades. Update electrical drawings, schematics, and documentation as needed. Collaboration: Work closely with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and optimize electrical systems. Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and other team members. Upkeep of Tools and Equipment: Ensure that electrical tools and testing equipment are properly maintained and calibrated. Report any faulty tools or equipment for timely replacement or repair. Energy Efficiency: Identify opportunities for improving energy efficiency within electrical systems. Recommend and implement solutions to reduce energy consumption. Qualifications: Proven experience as an electrical technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and control systems. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and diagrams. Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and human-machine interfaces (HMIs). Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant safety standards. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
