The primary responsibility of the Assembler (ASSB) is day-to-day production and actual manufacturing of products or components. This person assembles components or products according to established procedures. This position will report to the Production Supervisor. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform simple electro-mechanical assembly of products according to specifications, work instructions, job travelers and customer orders. Solder simple parts & wiring. Responsible for building required quality into the product as generally defined by drawings and specs. Strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of hand tools, and measurement equipment. Perform testing, programming, and simple sorting on products. Follows work processes to ensure consistent approach and quality products. Ensure all logbooks and other record keeping methods are maintained according to standard operating procedures. Other job duties may be assigned. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with preventive maintenance procedures to avoid any breakdowns and failures. Ability to work either seated or standing for 8-hour workday. Manual dexterity. Use moderate physical effort in the use of hand tools, wrenches, etc. Carry weights of up to 50 lbs. occasionally for short periods. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Hand soldering using lead free solder is desired (Certification a plus). General computer knowledge. Basic math skills. Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: Soldering: 1 year (Preferred) Assembly: 1 year (Preferred)
