P.A.C.E., Inc. Communication Coordinator in New Bedford, Massachusetts

PACE, Inc. is a non-profit Community Action Agency incorporated in 1982 to mobilize and utilize both public and private resources to affect the improvement of the economic and social quality of life for low-income residents of the Greater New Bedford area for the last 42+ years. The Coordinated Family and Community Engagement (CFCE) Grant, a program of PACE Child Care Works, is funded by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. The main goal of the CFCE is to support families with children ages birth to 6 years old with needs. Our goal is to, meet families where they are, and offer support when needed to ensure families are thriving in their community and all children are prepared and ready to learn entering Kindergarten. We also support early educators and host advisory council meetings covering the 11 cities/towns we serve. The candidate selected to fill this position must have the following qualifications and skills: Preferred Associate degree, Early Childhood Education Certificate, EEC Director or Lead Teacher Certification or equivalent experience/skills Experience in early childhood field The ability to use social media to maintain or build a brand Skills in using tools that analyze social media and other platforms for data collection purposes Proficient in Constant Contact, Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel, OneDrive, OneNote, PowerPoint, Teams, Canva, and Adobe Acrobat Pro Detail oriented, able to complete tasks to meet deadlines, and a team player Excellent verbal and written communication skills in addition to editing skills with attention to grammar and sentence structure Ability to provide a positive customer experience in writing and over the phone Bi-lingual preferred, but not required. Candidate will be responsible for: Regularly posting text, video, and images that engage families and community programs, creating and updating social media posting schedules, replying to comments from subscribers and liking tagged photos Follow online conversations on PACE CFCE and PACE Parent Child+ social media accounts Development and distribution to regularly maintain and publish on Constant Contact Website, monthly e-newsletter and calendar, program flyers, program registration, etc. Facilitate and set up Zoom/Team meetings including sharing from One drive Attend bi-weekly Team meetings Attend outreach events; possibly on weekends and evenings Any other duties deemed appropriate by supervisor.
