IDC is searching for a Vice President, Business Finance Partner who will work with partners across the business to obtain and review the latest insights to navigate and plan the future actions of the business to help achieve strategy and financial forecasts.

Develop strong partnerships and guide communication between lines of business within IDC/IDG and the finance team
Develop and produce comprehensive monthly management reporting that creates a clear view of periodic performance in support of financial goals
Plan and execute all aspects of financial analysis projects and statistical studies for the organization
Support month end closing and reporting processes
Drive analysis and evaluation of alternate financial plans as they relate to organizational objectives
Provide hands-on leadership related to the corporate budgeting and forecasting processes
Partner with Finance Manager and Chief Sales Officer for annual review and sales commission compensation plans
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency of the forecast and budget management process. Streamline collection, preparation and distribution of data
Ability to demonstrate effective leadership in ambiguous and frequently changing situations
Support line of business strategy reviews
Prepare business cases and scenario planning to guide staffing and capital allocation decisions
Involvement in strategic business development and business transformation projects
This will be located in our Needham MA Headquarters once we return back to the office
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business fields preferred
MBA is highly desirable
15+years of accounting, finance and professional managerial experience with an emphasis in financial planning analysis
Ability to maintain active involvement in data, Excel files and PowerPoint presentations
Successful candidate will have exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including outstanding presentation skills and ability to communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively at all levels of the organization as well as the board of directors and external investors
The successful candidate will also exhibit the ability to handle detailed, complex concepts and simplify them into concise and understandable analyses to support business decisions
Experience in leading and/or contributing to financial systems and reporting transformation
Previous leadership history in complex and changing environments with demonstrated ability to gain trust and support from cross-functional peers and teams
Strong organizational and prioritization skills; proactive with a high sense of urgency
Knowledge of accounting practices and sophisticated information systems is a plus
Excellent quantitative, financial and analytical skills as well as the ability to see the complete picture
A team player with the confidence, presence and consultative skills to influence the business
