Encore Fire Protection Service Manager in Needham, MassachusettsMorocco
Being a Service Manager at Encore means becoming the go-to resource for your respective product line. Initiative, coupled with a sense of competitive drive, and staying focused on results despite changing conditions, is the key to achieving the performance objectives of this job. Excelling in this role requires the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts on a variety of levels whether it be with our technicians in the field, less experienced members of the operations team, or our customers.
Encore is an industry leading, full service fire protection company serving all of New England from offices in Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. Our continued growth and success has created the need for a Service Manager to assume a critical role on our Sprinkler Service Team, working from the Needham, Massachusetts office.
At Encore, we are all about hiring on attitude and training for skill. Most of our positions require little or no prior industry experience, but this is not one of those roles. To be our next Service Manager on the Sprinkler Service team you must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the sprinkler industry. This experience can come in any combination of field, sales, design, operations and/or management but must total at least 5-years.
A day in the life of a Sprinkler Service Department Manager at Encore may include all or some of the following:
Fielding questions from our technicians and offering recommendations to navigate complex service calls
Providing product recommendations to our Deficiency Sales Team to facilitate their ability to quote system repairs and remediation steps
Effectively communicating with our customers, and taking ownership for resolving service related issues
Coaching less-experienced members of your Sprinkler Service team in effort to improve technical and industry based knowledge
Actively participating in customer retention efforts, revenue growth and overall department profitability
This is a technical role by definition and the depth of your industry knowledge will be self-evident. So rather than taking the time to list the technical specifications we expect you to know, we want to know how you measure up against the intangible qualities we find common in the A-Players on our team:
Passionately committed to the success of themselves, their team, and Encore
Understanding that sometimes it takes a little extra to get the job done; whether that means staying late, coming in early, taking on an additional project or helping a teammate finish an assignment of theirs
Unwavering belief that putting in that extra effort does not go unnoticed in the long run
A natural desire to be part of a team but an even stronger desire to be the best on said team
Willingness to try new things, admit mistakes, adapt and change
As a company, Encore is hyper-focused on developing a culture that thrives on success and is energized by the fact that we get to make peoples' lives better and safer each day. One of the ways we do this is by generously rewarding all those who contribute to our continued growth. But we also believe that not all rewards are monetary. Here are just a few a few perks that a successful individual in this role can expect:
Salary commensurate with experience with opportunity for a results-driven bonus based on personal output and effectiveness in role
Purpose and results driven work environment (work smarter not harder)
We dress for the objective which means most days we wear jeans but occasionally we wear suits. As long as you know which situations require which (or aren't afraid to ask), you'll be all set!
Speaking of attire, we offer all employees Encore gear twice a year
Snacks and coffee everyday and weekly "to-order" office lunches and breakfast
Freedom to express ideas - a culture of willingness to test, try, modify, adopt, enhance, improve and CHANGE as needed
Access to leading edge web-based productivity tools
Participation in Fidelity 401(K) that includes employer match
Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits through Blue Cross
Company-paid life insurance policy of $25,000
