Robert Half Senior Director of Product Marketing in Needham, Massachusetts

Our goals are aggressive, our market is growing rapidly, and we’re looking for a seasoned yet scrappy, creative, and motivated individual to take our product marketing efforts to the next level — continuously driving and reinforcing our client's market leadership position.

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Senior Director of Product Marketing will lead our product marketing efforts and team to launch and promote all aspects of the our Platform. This individual will define our markets, buyer personas, and customer marketing; creating clear differentiation and value; while producing messaging, content, collateral, and sales tools that help win six- and seven-figure deals.

In this high profile senior level role you will:

• Act as a natural coach and mentor to your two-person product marketing team

• Work closely with Execs, Sales, Product Management, and your colleagues across Marketing to lead all aspects of internal and external Product Marketing activities

• Provide sales positioning, insights, and messaging for our website, marketing campaigns, webinars, sales collateral, and social media

• Participate in live webinars, industry events, and public relations activities as a spokesperson and subject matter expert

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, product roadmap, and buyer needs to generate new ideas to draw audience’s attention with powerful messaging that resonates

• Engage with sales team and internal subject matter experts to understand buyer needs, uncover gaps in our existing assets, and identify relevant topics for new sales and customer marketing content

• Perform competitive research, conduct surveys and interviews to build expertise in the market, customers and competitive landscape

• Establish strong differentiation in our product positioning that allows us to beat our competitors

• Work with the CMO to help manage the relationship with industry analysts to communicate our strategy, road map, unique value proposition, and customer success

The ideal candidate will have:

• BA in marketing or related field

• 15+ years of B2B software marketing experience with 10+ years in product marketing

• 5+ years as a people manager and team leader

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to consistently orchestrate, prioritize and manage multiple projects, from concept through implementation

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work with multiple teams and represent the company externally in a positive, professional manner

• Experience working with the CEO and other executive team members across functional areas

• Self-starter with an ability to initiate projects and execute from start to finish; can work independently with minimal supervision

• Experience marketing to the financial services, life sciences, and high tech industries a plus

• A background in Sales Enablement software, or a closely related market, is a plus
