International Data Group Corporate Financial Analyst in Needham, Massachusetts
Reporting to Director of Finance, this role will be responsible for financial analysis and reporting specific to IDG’s M&A activities including providing necessary support to the Corporate Development group. A successful candidate should possess advanced skills in financial and data analysis, including proficiency with three-statement financial modeling and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles. Additionally, the candidate should exhibit strong written and speaking skills, and have experience working cross-functionally to move related projects forward. The role will include oversight within Corporate Finance of all M&A related financial analysis and reporting activities from pre-acquisition through post-acquisition and integration. He/she will support related financial and corporate decision makers at all levels of IDG. He/she will also work closely with management to meet their financial objectives.
Responsible for M&A related analytical, reporting, planning, and forecasting duties on a company wide basis
Support due diligence efforts, including financial modeling of synergies as well as impact of integration considerations during diligence period
Provide written analysis on financial performance metrics for all acquisitions, pre and post
Ensuring compliance with financial guidelines, company policies, and relevant legal regulations, develop and analyze key business performance metrics and identify performance improvement opportunities
Develop financial projections through financial modeling for organic and inorganic growth sectors of the business
Provide strategic financial insights when performing analysis and reporting which includes creating data visualizations and presentations
Design processes that enhance the accuracy and timeliness of our overall M&A financial reporting process
Provide ad hoc analysis and financial analysis to other areas of Corporate Finance as needed
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
At least three to five year of experience with mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and/or financial planning and analysis
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interface with all levels of personnel at corporate and business units
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Exceptional skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and ERP solutions such as Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Demonstrate ability to manage tight deadlines and prioritize workloads with a high degree of accuracy and minimal supervision in a fast pace environment
Ability to interpret data and provide relevant conclusions and recommendations
Self-starter with a desire to learn and grow in a team environment
Nice to Have:
Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or MBA
BI software experience with tools such as Hyperion, Power BI, or Adaptive Insights
