Encore Fire Protection Business Development Coordinator in Needham, Massachusetts
Are you a recent grad looking for an exciting career opportunity? Or have you already landed your 1st job and realized that you're tired of working in a “cube farm” with strict corporate limitations on moving up the ladder? Then look no further, Encore Fire Protection is the place for you!
WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO:
Every business in our tristate coverage area (MA, CT, and RI) is required BY LAW to have working fire-protection systems in place in order to legally operate. If they do not have these systems installed, or if their systems are not working properly, they can be fined or shut down. We sell those systems and the legally required maintenance that goes along with them. Sound like an easy sale That’s because it is…if you’re not afraid to get out there and ask for it!
Regional Sales Representatives are given the opportunity to build their own business within an assigned geographic territory. We will provide unparalleled support, resources, and unlimited commission potential in exchange for motivated individuals that are able to successfully:
Research, organize, and prioritize prospects
Master the ability to deliver the Encore value-proposition in person, over the phone, and in writing
Work with prospects to identify needs, budgets, timelines, business benefits, and key decision makers
Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers
Accurately forecast and achieve sales goals
Prepare proposals, arrange product demonstrations, deliver presentations, competitively price services, negotiate contract terms, close deals, and oversee the hand-off from sales to operations
It's OK if you're a little intimidated by these expectations! In an entry-level position, we don't expect you to have done them before. We will invest the time and the training in the person who is confident in their ability to succeed and internally motivated to be the best in their field.
We fully believe in the concept of hiring for attitude and training for skill, especially when it comes to our entry-level positions, and that is because the most successful members of our team share more than a few commonalities. The A-Players on our team exhibit the following characteristics:
A natural inclination towards putting customers first
Willingness to try learn, new things, admit mistakes, adapt and change
Takes pride in doing the right thing
Embraces a team-first attitude
Meets obstacles head-on when it comes to achieving set goals or objectives
Commits to being truthful, direct, and honest in every interaction
There are a few tangible skills that will make for a superior candidate:
College degree and 1-3 years professional sales experience in any industry
Above average proficiency with technology coupled with the ability to self-teach new programs (among others we use Hubspot, Slack, Zendesk, and Zapier)
As a company, Encore is hyper-focused on developing a culture that thrives on success and is energized by the fact that we get to make peoples' lives better and safer each day. One of the ways we do this is by generously rewarding all those who contribute to our continued growth. Successful Business Development Representatives will be compensated with:
