Overview

WuXi AppTec Greater Boston site is looking for mid to senior level scientist. The position is responsible for scientific engagement and development of oncology and immunology R&D at the greater Boston site of WuXi AppTec. Occasionally this position will also participate in promotion of Oncology and Immunology Unit Business Development (BD), provide scientific inputs in coordination with the US BD. This position will have great exposure to both science and business development. This position reports to the director and site heard of OIU in the Boston site.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Highly self-motivated to work independently in a team environment to perform biomarker discovery and immunology assays to support pre-clinical drug discovery and clinical trial, including but not limited to Flow Cytometry, Luminex, ELISA, dPCR, MSD, etc.

• Knowledge of LC-MS and pathology is a plus.

• Familiar with technical transfer, trouble shooting, and validation of protocols.

• Participates actively in scientific meetings, provides scientific inputs related to oncology and immunology to support customer engagement and business development, occasionally participating in meetings including both in-person or online meetings with potential and existing customers in US.

• Attend scientific and business conferences related to oncology and immunology to engage in with customers.

• Collaborate with cross functional scientific and marketing teams to provide inputs in the trade shows, webinars, meetings, and conferences related to oncology and immunology.

• A small portion of the effort will be dedicated to handling logistics.

Qualifications

Experience / Education

• PhD in Immunology, Oncology, or relevant life science + 3 or MS degree + 5 or BS degree + 7 years of experience in immunology, oncology, and related biological sciences

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

• Adaptive to fast-paced environment.

• Previous CRO / GLP experience is a plus.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

• Excellent interpersonal skills with high EQ

• Self-motivated and multitasking

• Ability to work under pressure of multiple projects and deadlines.

• Ability to effectively prioritize workload and manage changes in direction.
